First and foremost, I hope everyone made it through the storm okay with as little damage and discomfort as possible. I feel for poor Andie out there in the Woodlands. I know she is without power and has most her family there so hopefully their power will be returned quickly. I've heard from most of my friends and family and the best news of all is that we are all okay. Material items can be replaced, but my friends and family can not.
We apparently had a tornado touch down in front of our house and took a path down the street. From the rooftops, you can see the path it took. It was amazing to see the guys in my neighborhood band together to help each other out. Right after the storm they were all up on the roof tops patching holes so that no more water could get in than already did. They really got their own system down and patched up 6 or 7 houses in nothing flat. We had shingles ripped off leaving holes in the roof allowing water to leak into the house and into my living room, master bedroom closet and master bedroom bathroom. Pretty much a helpless feeling when you are sitting there staring at your ceiling and watching water pour in knowing there is not a darn thing you can do about it other than lay down some towels and hope for the best.
So after we came up for air, I couldnt reach my parents so I went off to check on them. They seemed to be ok, but their power is off to and who knows when they will get it back. Our next mission, a generator for my parents. Now, THAT was fun. Luckily, John, my neighor across the street, had a hook up and we were able to score one. Of course we had to drive to Bellville to get it, but we had one! Me, John, and Tracey take a road trip to Bellville, get the generator and decide to stop at Casa Ole in Breham for a bite to eat. Now, that was a mistake! It took us longer to eat then it did to drive there! It was insane! Finally, we are done eating, and head back to my parents house. And wouldnt you know, we get there, get the generator set up, and the darn thing doesnt work! Figures! We take it home and John proceeds to tear the thing apart, bound and determined that he will get it working, and my parents will have a fridge by the end of the evening. It may be 2:00 a.m. mind you, but it will be done!!! LOL He worked feverishly and finally found the problem, fixed it, and we were back in route to the parents house. Got them all set up at least with a fridge and a fan to cool off, and we head back home. Talk about a long day!
Now comes today.........I finally had to make, and stick with that dreaded decision. I am putting my Bear Cat to sleep today. Its breaking my heart. Literally. He is the last of my four musketeers. It was me, him, Keisha (my dog) and Fancy (my cat) for years alone. Just the four of us. I lost my Fancy a few years ago, Keisha last year, and now Bear. This is the first time I've had to make the decision to actually let him go. He just looks so pitiful. and yes I know, he will be better off and he will be out of his misery, but it sure doesnt help me any. Now, I'm the one in misery and I am going to miss him like crazy. And what really sucks is that I am sitting here counting down the hours left in his little life. And he has no idea. Am I making the right decision? Am I doing the right thing? I hate second guessing it. I know I am. and i know he wont be suffering anymore, but dam, doesnt make it any easier. I also hate the fact that I actually have to make an appt to kill my cat. Yes, that is what I feel like I am doing, so of course now, I just sit here at work and bawl like a big ole baby.
Oh, and on top of it all, my hair dresser called and cancelled my appt tonight to have my hair done! AND Aunt Flo came to visit and is being a real bitch (and for those of you that dont know who Aunt Flo is, ask a woman! LOL) AND I can t find my dam happy pills!!!
Anything else dammit? LOL

Honey, Im Home!
Did you miss me? Dang, Its been a LONG while since I've posted anything. I guess I'm just so boring there's been nothing to post! ok, that's not really true. Lots of things have been happening, but none of which I should prolly put into print! LOL
First, I would like to welcome Momma back to blogging! Its been a long time since she's been online and is now back in action. I'm glad things are going so well!
Now, the most exciting thing I've done...........the Toby Keith concert this last weekend! OMG! It was fantastic! I have not had that much fun in a long long time. I also did something last weekend I've never done before and that was to attend the Toby Keith fan club party. It was amazing! I was actually in the same room with him! Breathing the same air! it was awesome! I am going to share a few pics although they arent the best cause they were taken with my camera phone, but oh well.
See how close I was??? There was this cute little girl that sat at our table with us and she came and got all of our cameras and got as close to the stage as possible to take his picture. She was adorable! She even made a little profit out of the deal cause when a lady at the next table figured out what we were doing, she asked the little girl to do the same for her and paid her for it. We got so tickled. That little girl had a ball!!!
Thats my friend Tracey that went with me pointing at the sign showing it was the Toby Keith Fan Club party at The Woodlands Marriott. There were three bands that played a little show for us before Toby got there. Mica Roberts was one of the performers and OMG! she was absolutely fantastic! She is one of Toby's back up singers and it going out on her own. She has one song so far on the radio called "Things Momma Didn't Know" I believe. It is a duet with Toby and it a fantastic song. One of the other performers was Trailer Choir. They were also fantastic. And hillarious! We laughed so hard. You"ll have to check them out online when you get a chance. I think eventually they will make it pretty big.
The concert itself was aboslutely fantastic. Montgomery Gentry played also so it was a double delight.
Guess that's it for now. Not sure I can top the ole Toby Keith concert but maybe something exciting will happen!!! LOL
