A Fantasy Fullfilled! um, or not.

Have you ever had a thought about a fantasy that you thought sounded intriguing, that maybe one day you might actually fullfill? Well, I had one of those fantasys fullfilled today!

Now that I have your attention, It wasnt actually the fantasy I envisioned, but, i did have two men looking at my naked butt today. FANTASTIC I tell you. There aint nothing like the humilating venture of having to bend over a doctor's table and having them stand there checking out your butt. I soo had this all played out differently in my mind!

Nevertheless, that is how I got to spend my day! Diagnosis -- POISION IVY! Yay me! Can you believe it? Evidnetly, when I took my trip to Sequin last weekend, and when I stopped at that lovely little park to watch the Colorado river, I had leaned up against a tree trunk to chat for a bit, and there my butt came in contact with poision ivy. I've never had poision ivy before, and I can honestly tell you, I'd much prefer to have my gallbladder removed again! aaarrrggghhh!!!

On the bright side, I do get two days off of work, although the boss is NONE too pleased. But I did make the offer that I would come in naked if he would like. Oddly enough, he didnt take me up on that offer. Oh well. Home I sit, er, ah, lay with my nice poision ivy to keep me company! LOL

Just Another Day In Paradise......

Today was definitely one of those days where you should just really stay in bed!!!!

I was awakened about 4:30a this morning by a kitty cat that decided it was time for him to be petted. So, begrudgenly, I laid there and petted him for a bit and looked at the clock and thought, well, I at least have some extra time to sleep. I normally get up during the week at 5:45a or so, depending on whether or not I have to wash my hair. Today was one of those days that I definitely needed to wash my hair. I evidently had finally fallen back asleep and was awoken by my phone vibrating underneath my pillow. Why it was under my pillow in the first place, I have no idea! Anyway...I look at my phone and I got two texts from two different people telling me that I should prolly leave early because there is an 18-wheeler accident on 290 and they have the whole freeway shut down. NICE! So I look over at the clock and OMG! Its 6:35a! Im usually on my way to work already! GREAT! Wonderful way to start the day! I jump up and basically run a brush through my hair and put it in a pony tail (thank GOD for long hair) and rush out the door. Pull out of my drive onto the street, make it to the stop sign and basically do the usual, slow to observe police thing, and turn. Well, to my right, there is a nice little sheriff's officer. FANTASTIC! nothing like running a stop sign right in front of a cop! Of course, he pulls in behind me and follows me through the subdivision. He evidently figured out I had learned my lesson and finally went away.

So now I'm contimplating which direction is going to be the best to actually get to work and come to the conclusion that there just isnt a good way. Traffic in Houston just sucks no matter which way you go. Whats sad is that the 18-wheeler accident happened at 4a but it was still there at 7a. Oh well. what can you do right?? I call the ole boss there and asked him if he purchased that helicopter I've been requesting and of course he says no, so I said, well, then I have no idea when I will be there. Wonder if he's reconsidering the helicopter now??? LOL

Oh well. All in all, I finally made it to work. Arent I just the lucky one!?!? Sometimes, you should just really stay in bed instead. :-)

ROAD TRIP!!!!

I absolutely LOVE road trips! Nothing like getting away down the road and in the open country. Last saturday, I did just that. Got up early, and headed north. The flowers are absolutely amazing. I sure wish I could grow them like that!
Anyway. So, Katey and I drive to Sequin for some political research something or other. One of these days I might actually figure out what exactly its all about! But, seeing as how I dont really follow politics a whole lot, maybe I really never will. On the way out there, we made a stop in the booming metroplis of Columbus, Texas. Not much there in Columbus I have to say. I think the Walmart is holding it all together. But, it was nice and peacefull. We saw this really cool looking bridge and decided to check it out and see where it led.

We stopped at this nice, quiet little park by the bridge and just sat and watched the water and chatted.

It was like we hadnt talked in 24 years or something. We caught up on everything going on with each other which was really nice. I learned alot of things about her that I didnt know and learned alot of what her friends from way back when were up to. Its interesting to see what happened to people after high school. It was just soo relaxing to just sit and exist for a little while without having to really think about much. Then, she leaned over and kissed me. JUST KIDDING! Making sure you are reading! LOL Of course then we got attacked by a bunch of flying ants, so we made our get away.

(Colorado River)
Speaking of high school friends, I mentioned in an earlier post that I reconnected with an old high school boyfriend of mine's, brother, lets call him Jethro. So anyway......I've known ole Jethro forever it seems, and its been really interesting to catch up with him and what's going on his world. On a sad note though, when I dated (or whatever it was we did together) his brother, I was extremely close to his mom. I loved her dearly. I've really had bad feelings about whats been happening with her for years now but never could find out. Well, I finally got up the nerve and asked Jethro what happened to her, and my fears were confirmed. She had passed away. Weird though that I had such a connection with her that I already knew the answer to the question when I asked it. Of course, there have really been some weird circumstances surrounding my hooking back up with Jethro anyway! I had found him on Classmates.com and sent him an email and really never thought about it again. Specially since he didnt respond. So, one day, Momma T and I were driving through my old neighborhood where I grew up, Jethro and his brother lived just a few streets over from me, so I should Momma where I grew up and where Jethro lived, after all, his brother was my very very very first serious boyfriend ever! but, I'll get into that later! LOL Anyway, the very next day after I showed Momma all this, I get an email from Jethro! THEN upon talking to him further, I find out that he is actually working on the army base in San Antonio that I was born! I was adopted, and was born at Ft. Sam Houston, San Antonio, to military parents. So, its intersting to think that they might actually still be there somewhere and he's that close to being around them. Its just all kind of surreal to me, but kinda cool too. Such a small world!

So, the ex.......I have come to believe that Jethro was the one behind us always getting into trouble!!! LOL I dated Rob for three years, off and on really, and it seems like all we did was get into trouble. But hey, I was cool. I was 14 yrs old dating a 17 yr old! WOO HOO! Boy did i think I was big time! Of course, I cant tell you how many times during that relationship that I was cheated on! For pete's sake, I was 14! Of course, he was a typical 17 yr old boy, so what did I expect! LOL He's actually married now, living in Germany, with two kids. Evidently he went into the military and it still didnt straigten him out! However, Jethro told me that he was actually going to re-enlist and go back to Afghanastan. Kinda scary with all that is going on. I'll have to tell Jethro to tell him hello for me and to be careful. Wouldnt that be weird? Prolly doesnt even remember me anyway. LOL

I've enjoyed getting to know Jethro though. Didnt really spend much time with him back in the day, but he's actually pretty cool. Been through some rough times which sucks, but I think he's getting passed it. He also went into the military, but got injured, so now he's working for them at the army base. I dont know how he does it. Working with all the injured soldiers. That would break my heart daily! But, good on him for being able to help them out.

All in all, Saturday was a great day. Hopefully I'll get to do another road trip soon. Hook up with the politician again and finish the research that we or should I say, Katey, started! I'll keep you posted!
